My Christmas present to my mom...

My mom is hard to buy for and so I never know what to get her for Christmas. This year I decided to make her something instead. Knowing that she loves humming birds, I took time to needlepoint this pattern for her. Not knowing what to do with it when it was done, I chose to turn it into a pillow (it has green crushed velvet on the back) and trim it with lace. I'm quite happy with the way that it turned out, especially considering that everything on it was done by hand - no help from a sewing machine whatsoever.

  1. I love this! What a lovely present.
I'm sure your mom will absolutely love it, if only because of the work and thought you put into it.

How much hours did it take you to make?

  2. Thank you so much! I honestly don't know how many hours that this took me for sure but I'm sure it took at least 6. I worked on it off and on since August. I want to put some of these little needlepoint pillows together for sale on Etsy eventually too. Keep your eyes posted... I'm not sure when I'll make it that far but I definitely will LOL (Goals, goals, goals for the new year :)
